Editorial standards and medical review policy

How we research

Every condition, symptom, and treatment article is researched against peer-reviewed medical literature, the American Urological Association (AUA) guidelines, the National Institutes of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and other authoritative sources. We cite our sources inline. We do not invent statistics. We do not fabricate clinical outcomes.

Who reviews our content

Every condition and symptom page is reviewed by a licensed urologist before publication. The reviewer's name, credentials, NPI, and hospital affiliation are visible on the page. The date of last review and the date of next scheduled review are published with every article.

Our reviewing physicians are drawn from the broader urology network including Innovative Urology, the Men's Wellness Institute, the Modern Prostate Institute, and the Modern Fertility Institute.

How we label sponsored content

Some practices in our directory are Participating Practices — practices that have completed a verification process and contribute clinical content. Some are Featured Practices — practices that pay for enhanced visibility in their service areas. Featured Practice placement is always labeled. Featured Practice placement does not influence the editorial content of condition or symptom pages.

What we will not do

• We will not rank or score practices by undisclosed criteria.
• We will not accept compensation that depends on whether a reader books an appointment.
• We will not use phrases like "top" or "best" to describe practices unless we publish the exact methodology used.
• We will not publish patient testimonials that we have not verified.
• We will not use AI to draft clinical content without physician review and approval.
• We will not present sponsored content as editorial content.
